There are action and battle scenes aplenty that hugely rival the first two books in this series, and danger seems to lurk around every corner. Not only is it a western, but it is also a rousing historical romp. It turns out, I was very pleased and pleasantly surprised with the story I got between the covers of this book. Going into this novel, I didn’t know exactly what to expect, and had no idea how it would compare to the previous two books that came before it, so I kept my expectations low.
